Reps Announce Demise Of Hon.Olaide Adewale

The House of Representatives has announced the passing of hon (Prince) Olaide Adewale Akinremi, representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, who died on July 10, 2024, at the age of 51, after a brief illness.

Hon Akinremi, known as Jagaban, was a dedicated public servant and Chairman of the House Committee on Science Research Institutions.

In a statement released by the House spokesman and chairman on media and public affairs Hon Akin Rotimi said the late lawmaker was a staunch advocate for social welfare, economic growth, and scientific research whose contributions to legislative debates and committee activities were exemplary.

He said the Speaker of the House of Representatives Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, expressed profound sadness over the loss, praising Hon. Akinremi’s dedication, leadership, and wisdom.

The House extends its condolences to the Akinremi family, the Ibadan North Federal Constituency, the Government and People of Oyo State, and the APC family.

He said Hon. Akinremi’s legacy will continue to inspire those who worked with him and May his soul rest in perfect peace.
