EFCC Operative Takes Own Life in Abuja

Tragedy struck at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as one of its operatives died by suicide at their residence in Abuja.

The deceased, a member of Course 5, was known for their diligence and efficiency in their work. Colleagues described them as unassuming and dedicated to the fight against corruption.

The EFCC spokesperson, Mr. Dele Oyewale, confirmed that an investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the suicide, including potential factors such as mental health and personal challenges that may have contributed to this tragic event.

The operative’s identity has not been released pending the conclusion of the investigation.
