Abuja, Nigeria – In a shocking turn of events, the Senate and the National Orientation Agency (NOA) are locked in a fierce dispute over the country’s newly introduced national anthem.

The controversy has sparked a nationwide debate, leaving citizens wondering which version is authentic.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has vehemently rejected the NOA’s version, citing glaring errors and discrepancies.

“The NOA’s version is a misrepresentation of our national identity,” Akpabio declared.

“We cannot allow such a flawed rendition to undermine our nation’s unity and pride.”

Akpabio pointed out specific mistakes in the NOA’s version, including altered lyrics that deviate from the original spirit of the anthem.

The Senate has rallied behind Akpabio, adopting the “correct” version during plenaries.

However, the NOA remains defiant, insisting that their version is the officially approved one, sanctioned by President Bola Tinubu himself.

“Our version is the authentic representation of Nigeria’s national anthem,” NOA Director-General Lanre Issa-Onilu asserted.

“We will not be swayed by the Senate’s misinformed claims.”

As the standoff continues, Nigerians are left wondering which version to sing along to. The controversy has sparked a national conversation, with many calling for clarity and unity.

Stay tuned for further developments in this unfolding drama.
