Timothy Shorunke Set to Become ABEOCCIMA President

Abeokuta, Ogun State – Timothy Erigbemi Shorunke, FCA, FCTI will be invested as the President of the Abeokuta Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ABEOCCIMA) on June 20, 2024.

The investiture ceremony will take place during the Chamber’s 48th Annual General Meeting, alongside the induction of new officers at Commerce House, Ibara, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Shorunke, a distinguished Chartered Accountant and Tax Expert, has served the Chamber in various capacities and previously chaired the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Abeokuta Zone.

He will succeed Otunba A. Babs Adesanya as President, who assumed the position in June 2022.

According to ABEOCCIMA Executive Secretary, Alhaji Maku R.O, said the AGM’s opening session will feature a lecture by Dr. Olubunmi Kole-Dawodu, Deputy Director/Head of SMEDAN Lagos Office, on “Strategies for Accessing Funds for Business Development: Leveraging the Intervention Roles of SMEDAN”.

This milestone marks a new era for ABEOCCIMA, and Shorunke’s leadership is expected to drive growth and development in the region.

His vast experience and expertise in taxation and accounting will undoubtedly benefit the Chamber and its members.

The 48th Annual General Meeting and investiture ceremony promise to be a significant event, bringing together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders from various sectors.

The occasion will provide a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and exploring opportunities for growth and collaboration.
