Senator Solomon Adeola (APC, Ogun West) has expressed his deep sadness and shock at the sudden demise of his political ally, Barrister Babatunde Ishola Quaseem Rajh-Label (BIQ), who died in a car accident in Olorunda LCDA, Badagry.
According to Senator Adeola, he spent the last 24 hours with BIQ before the accident and described his death as a great loss to both his immediate family and political family across Lagos and Ogun State.
“His demise is not only a great loss to his immediate family but also his political family across Lagos and Ogun State,” Senator Adeola said.
BIQ was a loyal grassroots politician who served in various capacities, including as Special Assistant (South West Affairs) to the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jubrin, and Director General of Senator Adeola’s campaign organization in Lagos West Senatorial District.
He was also a former Sole Administrator of Ifako-Ijaye Local Government Area and played a leading role in the campaign of Senator Adeola for the Ogun West Senatorial seat in 2023.
Senator Adeola praised BIQ’s commitment and steadfastness, stating that his life was cut short at a time when his services were sorely needed.
“He was a loyal progressives’ grassroots politician that had served Lagos State and the nation in various capacities in the past, and his life was cut short at a time his services, steadfastness and commitment is sorely needed,” Senator Adeola said.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of BIQ’s soul and fortitude for his bereaved family and close associates to bear the irreparable loss.
