DG CANVASSES MORE SUPPORT FOR YOUTH EMPOWERMENT

The Director-General, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim has solicited support from the International Labour Organization towards the advancement of Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development for Corps Members.

He said Jobs are not readily available for youths after leaving schools but added that vocational skills through Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development would produce employers of labour.

Ibrahim stated this today when he paid a courtesy visit to Mr Dennis Zulu, the Country Director, for Nigeria, Ghana, Gambia, Sierra-Loene and Liberia.

He reminded his host that NYSC Management has partnered Central Bank of Nigeria, Bank of Industry and others towards entrepreneurship for Corps Members.

We want to adopt international best practices to train our Corps Members”, he added.

In his remark, Mr Dennis assured General lbrahim of the success of the partnership.
