The Lagos State Police Command has arrested popular singer Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, for allegedly failing to pay a debt related to a luxury vehicle purchase.

Portable had bought a G-Wagon worth N27 million but only paid N13 million, leaving a balance of N14 million.

According to reports, the singer claimed the vehicle was faulty and refused to pay the remaining amount, prompting the car dealer to file a complaint with the police.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed that Portable had been arrested.

“Yes, Portable has been arrested. He bought G-Wagon for N27m, paid N13m and refused to pay the rest, claiming the vehicle was bad. We arrested him today,” SP Hundeyin stated.
