Veteran Nollywood actress, Shan George, has successfully recovered ₦3.6 million that was stolen from her Zenith Bank account on May 3.

She made the announcement in an Instagram live video, expressing her gratitude to Zenith Bank, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nigerians, and others who supported her in recovering her money.

George specifically thanked Zenith Bank for their swift action, Opay for their transparency, Safe Haven Bank, EFCC, and the Nigerian Police for their assistance. She promised to share more details about the incident and how she recovered her money.

This development comes after George had taken to social media on May 3 to cry out for help, alleging that a person identified as Cecelia Chiagoziem Okoro had cleared her account. She shared a screenshot of the debit alert and pleaded for help, including a reversal of the transaction by Zenith Bank.
