A violent shooting incident in the northern Paris suburb of Sevran has resulted in one fatality and six injuries, according to prosecutors and the mayor. The attack, believed to be linked to drug trafficking, occurred in a parking lot near a cultural center around 11:45 pm on Friday.
Upon arriving at the scene, police found four individuals injured on the ground, one of whom succumbed to their injuries shortly after. Three others were hospitalized in serious condition. Later, three more people with bullet injuries were admitted to the hospital.
According to a police source, two men arrived in a car, and one of them exited and opened fire before fleeing the scene. The mayor of Sevran, Stephane Blanchet, described the incident as a “settling of scores” related to drug trafficking, emphasizing the need to establish order and eradicate trafficking in the area.
