Sassuolo midfielder, Kevin Prince Boateng will likely leave the club after just eight appearances, to join La Liga champions, Barcelona.

Boateng has been identified as the right player to give Barcelona coach, Ernesto Valverde more options offensively in the middle of the pack.

According to Gianlucadimarzio, Barcelona and Sassuolo have agreed to a deal ‘in principle’ to loan Boateng for €2 million with an option of buying the player for €8 million deal which is being negotiated by Boateng’s agent, Edoardo Crnjar.

The Italian medium reports that Sassuolo Sporting Director, Carnevali will head to Spain on Monday (today) to finalize Boateng’s deal.

The report also claimed that Sassuolo and Barcelona are already in advanced talks for the Ghanaian international.

Barcelona will tackle Girona on Sunday in the La Liga following their 3-1 victory over Leganes last weekend.
