Shooting Incident Claims Life of Olumide Danisa in Abeokuta

A tragic shooting incident rocked the Somefun Ijeun Tuntun area of Abeokuta, resulting in the untimely death of Olumide Danisa.

According to a release by Ogun State Police PRO, SP Omolola Odutola, revealed that the incident unfolded following a distress call reporting gunshots in the community.

“Following a distress call received by the Ibara Divisional Police Officer, that the community heard gunshots. The DPO raced to the scene and found a corpse later identified as Olumide Danisa Ifeloluwa “Tescom” on the pool of his blood lying lifeless”.

“It was gathered that the deceased was shot in the head by two gunmen who alighted from an unregistered Toyota Corolla vehicle, ash Colour, and released shots while Olumide was sitting outside his house at about 19:55hrs of 31/3/24, and fled the scene”.

“The victim was rushed to the State Hospital Ijaiye where the duty doctor confirmed him dead. His remains has been evacuated to the Hospital morgue for autopsy”, she said.

While no arrests have been made, Commissioner of Police, CP Alamutu Abiodun, has instructed the Area Commander Metro Abeokuta to launch a preliminary investigation into the matter.

“No arrested has been made, but the Commissioner of Police, CP Alamutu Abiodun psc has been briefed and he has directed the Area Commander Metro Abeokuta to commence a preliminary investigation”, she added.
