Olubadan Laid to Rest at Ancestral Residence

The late Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun Alli Okunmade II, has been interred at his ancestral home.

Oba Mohood was laid to rest at Ali-Iwo compound on Friday, following Islamic rites, with the burial taking place at approximately 4:30 PM.

Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, represented Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde at the ceremony, joined by members of the Olubadan-in-Council led by Senator Rashidi Ladoja, the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Prior to the burial, a lying-in-state was held at Mapo Hall from 12 noon to 1 pm, after which the monarch’s remains were moved to Ali-Iwo for the final rites.
