The Director of the Department of State Security Service, Mr Rasheed Adediran has assured the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Adewale Adegoke of a comfortable service year for corps members serving in the state of Osun.

This declaration was made during the courtesy call of the State Coordinator in his office in Osogbo on Wednesday 24th of July, 2019.

Adediran posited that “corps members are the future of the country and therefore we all must put in our best to ensure the future of the country is better than today.

He further described the NYSC scheme as a key factor and player in the unification of the country because “we have youths from different parts of the country in states other than the states of their origin thereby exposing them to the way of living of other people and eliminating suspicions and beliefs held against each culture or people” he added.

He further stated that as youths from different regions of the country have been brought together to serve in Osun State, the agency will continue to strategise and cooperate with the scheme to ensure that corps members are comfortable during the orientation course and through out their service year by providing them with adequate security.

Meanwhile, Mr Adegoke, the NYSC Osun State Coordinator, expressed his immense gratitude to for the various roles played by the DSS in ensuring the success of orientation programmes and safeguarding of the lives of corps members in the State. He thereafter craved for a more robust synergy with the agency during his tenure.
