The residents of Orile Imo, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Ogun State have raised alarm over influx of fulanis into their community, saying they are suspecting them to be kidnappers.
They said that such migration was unacceptable.
It was gathered that the Fulanis brought in 11 armoured buses and were also seen with big dogs, guns and cutlasses.
The residents cried out to the governor of the state , Prince Dapo Abiodun to come to their aid, saying that the Fulanis are suspected kidnappers.
The Youth Leader of Orile Imo, Chief Olorunsogo Jimoh who disclosed this to newsmen revealed that the Fulanis have been going to all the villages in the community to allay fears on the people.
Chief Olorunsogo said this has created fears in the mind of the people in the community where many of them can not sleep with their two eyes anymore.
“We understand that there is freedom of movement of any Nigerian from one community to the other.
“Nevertheless, we believe that such movement, if it portends danger or insecurity to the host community, must be put in check.
“We want to call on the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun to come to our aid. We are suspecting them to be kidnappers. These people should be apprehended and evacuated to where they may have come from.
“We also call on relevant security agencies to as a matter of urgency to take steps as these Fulanis have bad mission in the community. Our people are very worried.
The youth leader of all hunters in Egba land , Banjo Soghaolu who spoke with our correspondent confirmed the report, saying that the fulanis came to community to perpetrate evil, saying that they have destroyed their farms.
