UNIABUJA RECALLS EXPELLED SUG PRESIDENT, UDE-UMANTA AFTER 12 YEARS

UNIVERSITY OF ABUJA GOVERNING COUNCIL HAS APPROVED THE REINSTATED OF MR. IGWE UDE – UWANTA THE INSTITUTION’S FORMER STUDENT UNION GOVERNMENT (SUG) WHO WAS UNJUSTLY EXPELLED 12 YEARS AGO FOR LEADING A PROTEST DUE TO LACK OF WATER IN THE INSTITUTION.

This development was contained in a letter signed by Yahya I. Mohamed, Deputy Registrar (Academics), University of Abuja.

The letter read in parts, “I have been directed to convey to you that the University of Abuja Governing Council at the 82nd Regular meeting held on Wednesday 27th, Thursday 28th and Friday 29th March, 2019, considered the report of its disciplinary Committee on expelled students’ and after due diligence, magnanimously approved your recall to enable you complete the outstanding 400 level second semester and graduate accordingly”.

The letter added that, “It is expected that you reciprocate this magnanimity of Council by subjecting yourself to the Matriculation Oath already sworn’.
