Alli-Balogun Assumes Office As Lagos Commissioner For Basic, Secondary Education

The newly sworn-in Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun officially assumed duty at the Ministry.

Addressing the management and staff of the Ministry, the new Commissioner beseeched them to continue their steadfastness in discharging their duties and in making sure that the T.H.E.M.E.S PLUS Agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is felt across all strata of Basic and Secondary Education.

The Commissioner promised to operate an open-door policy and ensure smooth service delivery across agencies, departments and units of the Ministry. He also said he will use his wealth of experience to add value as well as to foster a more productive work system, noting that he considers all staff as a member of one family.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Abayomi Abolaji informed the new Commissioner that the Ministry is glad to have him and pledged the full support and cooperation of the entire staff in ensuring that the set goals and objectives of Mr. Governor are achieved.

Recall that the nomenclature of the Ministry, hitherto referred to as Ministry of Education, has been changed to Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education
