So-Safe Arrests “One Chance” Robbers in Ogun

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps codenamed So-Safe Corps, has arrested Motorist identified as Kehinde and the few of accomplices connected with robbing passengers of their belongings in Abeokuta.

This development is contained in a press release issued from the Office of the State Commander of the Corps, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo through the Office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, said that on Friday, 25th. August, 2023, the officers of the Corps on routine patrol acted on information gathered that one of the drivers that has been robbing passengers in Abeokuta towns with his Gang members were sighted in an area in Abeokuta.

Ganzallo revealed that, the officers of the Corps were charged to go after them and they swung into action immediately, traced the culprits but to discovered that they have just robbed some passengers of their belongings.

The statement read further that Kehinde Ogunlate and Yemi Ayoola used the taxi to rob passengers, collected their phones, while the robbed items from passengers like phones were handed over to Kehinde who sells to Olonade Dele.

Ganzallo noted that, the one chance robber and the rest of the suspected gang escaped arrest and the suspects apprehended at Itoko, Ita-Morin Adedotun Area of Abeokuta are below listed while others and the kingpin are at large;

1. Taoreed Adeosun
2. Adeosun Funmilayo
3. Ayoola Yemi
4. Ogunlate Kehinde
5. Olonade Dele.

The apprehended suspects confessed that robbing passengers is their profession and after any successful operation they drive the victims to a safer place for ease escape of their team while they also established that Funmilayo Adeosun picked one of the stolen phones from her husband called Taoreed and sold it to an untraceable buyer.

1 taxi Car
16 memory cards
Phones

The suspects and the exhibit recovered from them had been transfered to the Nigeria Police Force, Swat, Magbon, Abeokuta for further investigation and likely prosecution.
