Akeredolu Congratulates Ondo NLC Chair, Oluwole On His Election As National Vice President

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN,CON, has congratulated Comrade Sunday Adeleye Oluwole on his election as the National Vice President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).

Governor Akeredolu in a press release signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, also felicitated the newly elected President of NLC, Comrade Joe Ajaero as well as other members of the National Executive Committee of the Congress.

The Governor described Oluwole as a quintessential unionist and pride to the government and people of the Sunshine State.

“Your election as the National Vice President of the NLC has further attested to your leadership prowess. You have continued to show passion for service despite the challenges intertwined in your kind of assignment.

“The candour with which you handled your assignments and show understanding with government as it relates to workers’ issue is commendable. Under your leadership in Ondo State, you have shown that unionism is not only about contestations and agitations but dialogue and diplomacy.

“This elevation is no doubt, well deserved. We have seen your passion and commitment to the cause of Workers in the State. You speak their minds and advance their struggle. You are a worthy leader of the people. Yours, is quality representation.

“We note, with profound appreciation, your roles in creating a harmonious working environment in the State. In respect to workers’ salaries, your candour and commitment aided us till we were able to clear all outstanding salaries. Today, we are happy that Workers’ salary is paid up-to-date.

“We have no doubt that you will deliver in your new assignment. You have shown capacity, competence and courage over time. Your rise in unionism is alluring. You were Chairman of the Joint Negotiating Committee (JNC) and later elected as the Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress in Ondo State. Not too long ago, you emerged as the 7th National President of the Nigeria Civil Service Union (NCSU). And now, National Vice President of the NLC.

“This is a national assignment that demands courage, integrity and consistency. Luckily, these are qualities you exude with candour. We pray God to grant you wisdom and understanding in your new assignment. Congratulations.” The Governor said.
