FG Orders Removal Of Sex Education From Basic Education Curriculum

Federal Government has directed Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council to remove sex education from the curriculum of basic education in the country.

According to the Education Minister, Mallam Adamu Adamu, teaching sex education at basic education level, will further corrupt little children, who are already having access to smart phones and technology.

The minister announced the directive in Abuja, during the sixtieth meeting of the National Education Council on Thursday.

The minister says that sex education to children should be left in the hand of their parents and religious institutions.

Adamu also told the meeting that he had failed as the education minister, over his failure to reduce the number of out of school children and frequent strikes by lecturers on Federal Universities, as well as, other challenges in the education sector.
