Passengers Burnt To Death In Gastly Accident On Lanlate Road

There was tragedy in Ibarapaland today as passengers were burnt to death in an accident which occurred along Sokoto express road, Maya market, Lanlate.

It was gathered that the accident involved one Mazda 18 passenger bus coming from Ifo, Ogun State and a Toyota Picnic space bus coming from Iseyin.

They had a head-on collision and both buses summersaulted and caught fire.

As a result, the passengers on board were burnt beyond recognition.

The Administrator of Ibarapa North-East LCDA, Lanlate, Mr Idowu Ojebola who visited the scene with other officials from the LCDA said that fire service agents came from Eruwa to curb the fire but all their efforts proved abortive.

Ojebola stated that the Nigeria Police Force from Lanlate division, the Amotekun, the VGN and local hunters also did all possible in their capacity.

The remains have been deposited at the Eruwa General Hospital Mortuary.
