The newly appointed Ogun State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat has sought the support and cooperation of the management and staff, to enable the Ministry to deliver on its statutory responsibility.

Hon. Hamzat stated this during his maiden meeting with management and staff of the Ministry, at the Oba’s Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, assuring that he would continue to maintain a cordial relationship with members of the traditional institution and the Local Government administrators, to prevent communication gaps.

The Commissioner who appreciated the warm welcome accorded him promised that he would operate an open door policy and embrace suggestions that could move the Ministry forward, as this would go a long way in achieving the mandate of Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration.

Earlier in his address the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun said, the Ministry had resourceful, committed and loyal officers who were ready to sacrifice their time for increased productivity.

Fagbohun expressed optimism that the Commissioner’s pedigree and background in politics would enhance the activities of the traditional institution and Local Government administration.
