ICMC Partners NBA Lagos Branch, Trains 100 Lawyers

The Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC) partners the Nigerian Bar Association, Lagos State Branch to train 100 Lawyers in Mediation Skills. The Accreditation and Certification training of the first 50 participants took place between the 1st and 4th August 2022 at the offices of Babalakin and Co, Victoria Island, Lagos State.

In his opening remarks, the President of the Institute congratulated participants for embracing mediation training, and commended the leadership of the NBA, Lagos branch for availing participants the opportunity to receive the training at a discounted rate. He stated that this initiative was part of the Institute’s desire to deliver mediation skills and accreditation training to lawyers through the various NBA branches. He called on other NBA branches to partner with the Institute in this regard.

The facilitators for the training comprised of, Agada Elachi Ph.D. (ICMC President), Dr Adeyemi Agbelusi FICMC, FCIArb (Chairman, ICMC Lagos Branch), Chinyere Onyemenam, Chidy Lasbrey Martins, Mrs. Gertrude Onyewuche, and Stella Chioma Afuba Mrs Chioma Afuba.
