Gunmen attack police station in Ondo, kill policeman

Unknown gunmen attacked Okuta Elerinla Police Division in Akure, the Ondo State Capital in the middle of the night.

The reason for the attack is yet to be ascertained at the time of filing this report.

A police officer was shot dead during a heavy shooting.

The spokesperson of the state police command, Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the incident.

She said an investigation has commenced into the attack.
