The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) today held a protest against the one-month strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

The students led by the National President, Sunday Asefon, converged on Unity Fountain, Abuja, and moved to the National Assembly gate, displaying various placards and chanting songs of solidarity.

NANS had earlier threatened to shut down Nigeria beginning from today if the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) failed to resolve their differences, to allow students go back to school to continue their academic programmes.
