Sequel to the four-week strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has ordered the blockage of all major roads in all states across the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

NANS made this known today in a statement co-signed by it’s President, Asefon Sunday; and Secretary-General, Adekitan Lukman.

The body said the decision to block all major roads in the country was agreed upon by all organs of the students’ body on Saturday at Sokoto State University.

The statement explained that the blockage of all major Federal Roads in all the 36 states of the Federation to be led and coordinated by NANS JCC and Zonal Executive including National officials of NANS in the state became sacrosanct once ASUU and FG fail to reach compromise and get campuses reopened on or before 28th February, 2022.
