Babaloja General Announces Closure Of Ibadan Markets In Honour Of Late Olubadan

Sequel to the demise of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, all markets in the largest West African city would be closed on Monday, 3rd January, 2022 in honour of the late monarch.

The Babaloja General of Oyo State, Alh. Yekini Abass Oladipo (YK Abass) announced this in a statement following an emergency meeting of market leaders council in the state.

The number one trader in the state noted that the contribution of Oba Saliu Adetunji to the development of Ibadanland made markets in the state to witnessed more patronage.

The Babaloja General also commiserated with all sons and daughters of Ibadanland, the Oyo State government led by Governor Seyi Makinde, the Central Council of Ibadan Indegenes (CCII), the State Traditional Council, Olubadan-in-Council and Olori Rasheedat Adetunji over the demise of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Adetunji Ajeogunguniso I.
