Oba Akinhale Receives Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation, Enjoins Youth To Embrace Agriculture

Youths have been charged to embrace agriculture so as to maximize the abounding opportunity available in food security, employment creation and economic growth.

Oba Olufemi Ogunleye, Towulade of Akinhale made this known on Wednesday when he played host to Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation and Agric Capital team in his palace.

Oba Ogunleye who thanked Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation’s team and Agric Capital for providing Akinhale youths and farmers the opportunity to participate in its youth empowerment programme billed to create employment, boost productivity, promote the economy and create wealth.

Oba Ogunleye also emphasized the need to concentrate efforts on Agriculture and its value chain to ensure food security and curb youths social vices.

On his part, the President of Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation, Alhaji Asiwaju Dapo Wahab JP explained the process involved in the Empowerment programme to the participants such as the numerous advantages, and some benefits attached to the programme.

Asiwaju Wahab however encouraged the youths of self reliance as agriculture is the hallmark for prosperity and economic growth.

He noted further that all necessary supports should be given to Kabiyesi in his efforts towards taking the town to a promised land.

In her remarks, General Manager Agric Capital, Mrs. Bishi Lois Olufunmilayo noted that farmers Involved in the Agriculture Empowerment programme will have access to mechanized farming and will also be cultivating crops such as; tyme, maize, orange, sweet potatoes among others.

She reiterated that about 20,000 youths across Nigeria will be empowered through the Agriculture Empowerment Programme championed by Agric Capital.

On the entourage of Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation Include; Alhaja Ganiyat Agboola, Mr Happiness Eze and Mr Salako olusegun.

Agric Capital team include; Mrs Galore Busola (Business Manager) Agbe Olayode Boluwatife (Extension Officer) and Mr Tumise (Media Officer).
