Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State, has joined the comity of campus radio-licensed institutions in Nigeria, as the much-awaited radio hit the airwaves on 99.7FM.
The polytechnic’s spokesman, Yemi Ajibola, said in a statement that the terrestrial test transmission was initiated immediately after the installation of technical equipment of the campus radio on Saturday, September 4, 2021.
In his remark, the acting rector, Dr. Adeoye Odedeji, said that the achievement was to create a platform for the Mass Communication students of the polytechnic to have a practical experience of how to make use of modern broadcast journalism.

The institution had secured the license from the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) to operate on 99.7 frequency modulation (FM) since 2015.
