It’s no longer news how much of malaria kills over 400,000 Africans every year- mostly kids under five years.
It’s however our collective responsibility to put a stop to this high efficacy rate against this disease. With the Sustainable Development Goal 3- Good Health and Well Being in mind, The Life Project led by Rotimi Jinadu in partnership with YALI Network Ogun led by Deborah Adewale engaged her members and a host of other volunteers to reach out to residents in Oke-Lantoro Abeokuta, Ogun State on Saturday 1st May, 2021.
The Over 160 residents, including children and elderly people received free medical test and treatment ranging from but not limited to AMATEM SOFTGEL (Anti-malaria drug), Ferous tablet, Cough, Anti-Malaria Syrup for Children then Blood and sugar level.
Residents were tested, counselled and treated professional Lab Scientist, Pharmacist, Nurses, including Doctors
In attendance, the Senior Special Assistant to Ogun State Governor on Health, Dr. Kehinde Ololade said “it is a
thing of joy for me to support programs that have direct impact on peoples lives. When the organizers of this laudable project contacted me for support, I supported them and made myself available to offer free medical consultation. I
call on well meaning Ogun State indigenes and most especially corporate bodies and non-governmental organizations to
emulate these worthy course and embark on this type of initiative to better the lots of the people”.

“The drugs I was given at that Outreach were really effective. I have observed differences now compared to my previous condition; I didn’t really appreciate it much until someone had to go and price it around here. It is expensive”- Mrs Adewale (a beneficiary).
This project will be a continuous one as the health and all-round wellness as the outreach itself is just a means to an end and not an end in itself.
YALI NETWORK OGUN is open to partnership that will further strengthen and educate the good people of Ogun State.
