Governments at all levels have been charged to support initiatives by individuals and groups towards youth empowerment and scholarship.
This charge was made today by HRM Oba Adekunle Makama Oyelude, the Olowu of Kuta Kingdom while declaring close a – two week training organised by a youth empowerment group under the auspices of Crown Heights Foundation.
While commending the youths, Oba Adekunle Oyelude noted that such initiative will keep young Nigerians busy and productive as Nation builders.
The Royal father expressed appreciation to the organizers for designing such training capable of charging youths to put in to use the abundance of God’s given talents and capacity to ensure youths productivity and reduce the rate of unemployment in the country.
Oba Oyelude said, ” the beneficiaries of this two weeks training will offer their services to consumers and clients within Kuta and environs and in the process, lift the local economy and enhance the living standard of indigenes and residents of the community”.
“I am optimistic that the multi sectoral nature of the training will enable the trainers render complimentary services to each other and ensure capacity utilisation”.
“I am aware that the trainees went through various steps of tye and dye, drama, cultural dance, media presentation, and batik”.
In the meantime, Oba Adekunle Oyelude has offered probation appointments to some of the trainees in photography.
Meanwhile, formal presentations of their skills were made while certificates were issued to the beneficiaries.
The Olowu of Kuta had earlier granted audience to the initiator of Oba Makama annual Quiz competition, expected to hold on the 10th of April 2021 and hoped that the quiz competition will showcase the best that Kuta can offer.
He pledged continued support to the competition and youth development.
