In the Nigerian digital space, different days birth different trends. Today, the hashtag, #StingyMenAssociation is trending and popular Nigerian celebrity, Don Jazzy, has joined the bandwagon.

The Sweet Boy Association, originated by popular singer Falz, trended in 2018 to celebrate handsome men, however, the Stingy Men Association is a sharp contrast.

Basically, Nigerian men who have ‘joined’ the association take pride in the fact that they are stingy to ladies; especially when these ladies request money from them.

To make the trend more fun, Twitter users have gone as far as making ‘identity cards’ to prove their membership while potential members are asking questions on how to join the association.

Showing his legitimacy as a bonafide member of the association, Don Jazzy took to his Twitter handle on Monday to announce that he has joined SMA.

He shared his ‘ID’ card bearing his photo and his personal details alongside a caption which read, Registration Complete.

According to his membership card, the 38-year-old singer is the ‘Head of Union’ in the Lagos branch while the motto of the association is “Let Me See What I Can Do”- a term popular among men who are not willing to give ladies money upon request.
