The Lanre Laoshe Foundation has been given a pat on the back for supporting healthcare delivery in Ishonla community, Ishon Onigbagbo village, Obafemi Owode Local government area of Ogun state.
The Foundation provided free drugs and equipment to improve healthcare system in the area which accommodates 34 villages.
The health centre built by a former member of the House of Representatives, Honourable Lanre Laoshe in 2015 was commissioned by the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo.
Lauding the Lanre Laoshe Foundation for yearning to the demands of the community, the members of the community noted that they do not have to go as far as Obafe before accessing quality healthcare delivery, just as the motorcycle donated by the ex-lawmaker would ease transportation of the health workers and patients.
In his words of appreciation, the Baale of the community, Chief Titus Taiwo explained that healthcare delivery is germane to the wellbeing of the people, therefore the gesture by Hon. Lanre Laoshe will linger on in the memory of the people.
The Obafemi Owode Local Government Authority in a message at the presentation of drugs, equipment and motorcycle expressed the readiness to collaborate with the Lanre Laoshe Foundation to ensure judicious use of the facility.
In a remark, Honourable Laoshe said he is focusing on promotion of science and technology, healthcare delivery, yoruba cultural values, commerce, trade and economics to assist the masses, while reiterating his willingness to pay the monthly salary of the health worker posted to the facility.
Honourable Lanre Laoshe represented Abeokuta South Federal Constituency between 1999 and 2003 on the platform of Alliance for Democracy, A.D.
