Gov Abiodun fetes Passing-Out Corps Members

The Governor of Ogun State . Price Dapo Abiodun has once again shown his love and appreciation to the 2019 Batch B Stream two Corps Members for their positive contributions to the State, especially in the fight against the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic.

The Governor provided mouthwatering refreshment pack which contains; Big IceT Juice pack, Pop Corn , Maryland Chocolate biscuits and Pringles for all the Corps Members who concluded their Service Year in the State .

The Corps Members while receiving the package provided by His Excellency were visibly elated.

The NYSC Ogun State Coordinator , Dr (Mrs) Belinda Ameze Faniyi while monitoring the distribution of certificates of National Service to the deserving Corps Members which took place in all the NYSC Local Government offices in the State, thanked the youth loving Governor for unalloyed support the Scheme has been enjoying from the State Government.

She disclosed that a total of 2836 Corps Members got Certificate of National Service while eight of them were remobilised for absconding from national Service and one got his Service Year extended.

The State Coordinator added that two Corps Members who were outstanding in the course of their Service Year got letters of Commendation. The duo are Nwaigwe Ebuka with code number OG/19B/0362 who produced and donated 450 notebooks to Isoyin Grammar School. He also donated ten bedsheets to Community Health Centre, Isoyin, erected a directional sign post at the palace of Sadare of Isoyin.
The second is Fozari Ledimbari with Code Number, OG/19B/2367 who donated food items and toiletries to Yemisi Alogi Orphanage and Children’s home.

Dr Faniyi charged the Corps Members to continue in the spirit of selfless service to the nation and humanity while making use of the lessons they learnt from the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) Programme.

She also advised the Corps Members to ensure they use dedicated motor parks and not stand on the road to board a vehicle while traveling back home.
