Members of the Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Public Account and Anti-corruption led by Hon. Lamidi Musefiu today continued the consideration of the Audit report of government agencies and institutions with a charge on the Management of the State Institute of Technology, Igbesa to as a matter of urgency address all issues raised in the report with a view to ensuring accountability and probity in its financial records.
Hon. Lamidi, who gave the charge during the session directed the management team of the school led by Dr. Akinkurolere Olufunke to have an up-to-date asset register, comprehensive students’ data, debtors’ status and other financial records.
He stressed the need to work more on the process of enlistment on the TETFUND support to further develop infrastructure in the institute and boost the capacity of its lecturers.
Hon. Lamidi in company of other lawmakers also urged the management of the institution to address all other issues raised in the Audit report.
Responding, the Rector assured that with the efforts of the management of the school on TEFFUND, the institute had been assured of enlistment for 2020 to benefit, promising that all issues highlighted in the report would be addressed in due course.
