NSCIA Mourns Passage Of Orunsolu, Commiserates With Alake Of Egbaland

The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islam Affairs (NISCA) has commiserated with Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Àrèmú Gbadebo and the good people of Egbaland over the passage of Alhaji Liadi Orunsolu, the Chief Imam of Egba land and Chairman, League of Imam and Alfas in Yorubaland, Edo and Delta, described him an epitome of honesty and a unifying figure until his death.

This was contained In a letter signed by NSCIA Secretary General, Prof Is-haq Oloyede addressed to Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo and obtained by our correspondent in Abeokuta.

The letter read, “Immersed in our sympathy with Egbaland on the departure of this illustrious widely-revered son, we are consoled with the fact that the chief Imam lived a virtuous and exemplary life as a unique Islamic leader.”

“Alhaji Liadi Orunsolu was a steadfast leader, an epitome of honesty and a unifying figure for all Muslims, known for his unalloyed love for the youth. His austere lifestyle was unequalled”

“It is the fervent prayer of the council that Allah will give the entire Egba community the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, as we beseech the Almighty to admit the late Imam to Aljanah Firdaws, he added

“Please accept the assurance of the council’s warm regards always,” he concluded.
