FOMWAN Mourns Orunsolu, Describes Him As A Strong Pilar of Islam

The Federation of Muslim Women Association in Nigeria (FOMWAN) has mourned the demise of the Chief imam of Egbaland and the President of the League of Imam and Alfas in Ogun State, Alhaji Liadi Orunsolu who passed on in the early hours of Tuesday at a riped age of 98.

The Association in a release signed by the Amirah , Alhaja Kudirat Rabiu described his death as a great loss not only to the Muslim Ummah, but the entire Islamic community, saying he lived a pious, Spartan and exemplary life wholly dedicated to the service of Almighty Allah and the cause of Islam.

FOMWAN in the statement said the renowned Islamic Schorlar and respected religious leader would be sorely be missed for his stauch Islamic stance and fearlessness in speaking truth to power.

” Alhaji Orunsolu was a stauch promoter of Islamic ideals and a fearless leader who not only uphold the tenents of Islam, but was known for speaking truth to the power that be”

” The entire Muslim Ummah and Islamic community has lost a strong pillar, a rallying, point , a stickler to perfection in the course of Allah and a symbol of unity”, the statement added

FOMWAN while praying for the repose of his soul and consoling the family for the great loss pray for Almighty Allah to grant him Aljanah Fridaus.
