The Chairman of Ifedara-Opeji Area CDC, Asiwaju Dapo Wahab has felicitated with Muslims faithful on the celebration of Eld-el-Fitri, which symbolizes the end of Ramadan Fasting.
This was contained in a congratulatory message signed by his Director of Media and Publicity, Adejola Adeyemi Crown on Sunday in Abeokuta.
The Chairman charged Muslims to put all the teachings of the holy month to use even as the world is currently battling with the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Asiwaju Dapo Wahab admonished Muslims to strictly adhere to the teaching of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), whom he described as the best for all Muslims to emulate.
He stressed that prayers were needed for God’s intervention, even as the world was looking for a medical breakthrough for the cure of the deadly Covid-19.
He charged residents to abide by all precautionary measures put in place by the government to combat the community spread of Corona virus.
He however enjoined residents to imbibe virtues such as feeding the needy, being their brother’s keepers and urged for peaceful coexistence even after the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
He said, “I want to congratulate all Muslims faithful on the completion of Ramadan Fasting which symbolizes the end of the 30 days fasting.”
“I want all Muslims to put into use all the teachings and principles of Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) even as the world is fighting to end Coronavirus pandemic.”
“I want to urge for more fervent prayers for God’s intervention and possible breakthrough to end the Covid-19 pandemic.”
I also want to enjoin all residents to abide by government lockdown directives and measures to contain the spread of the virus, he said.
Finally, I want to urge residents to imbibe virtues such as feeding the needy, loving one another and keeping peaceful coexistence with one another even after the end of holy month of Ramadan, he concluded.
