One Year In Office: US-Nigeria Trade Council President, Engr. Olowokere Congratulates Hon. Dabiri-Erewa

The President of US-Nigeria Trade Council, Engr. Titus Olowokere has felicitated with Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission as she marked one year in office today.

It would be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Dabiri-Erewa as the head of the commission on Nov. 6, 2018.

The Senate therefore confirmed the appointment of Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa as Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Nigerians Diaspora Commission on Thursday May 9, 2019.

The confirmation which followed a report on the screening of the nominee for Senate’s approval presented by Sen. Rose Oko (PDP-Cross River) at plenary, presided over by President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki in Abuja.

Meanwhile, according to the press release issued by Engr. Titus Olowokere congratulating Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa for her first year in office as obtained by our correspondent today described her as Nigerian Diaspora Mathematician.

Engr. Olowokere added that she has redifined the identity of the Nigerian in Diaspora and awakened the national consciousness of being Nigerian in Diaspora.

He described Dabiri-Erewa’s appointment as a round peg in a round hole judging from the outstanding achievements and notable milestones she has achieved in office in the last one year.

He said,
Hearty congratulations !!! Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
You blazed the trail.
You redefined the identity of the Nigerian in the Diaspora.
You awakened the national consciousness of the very being of the Nigerian Diaspora.

You are the “Diaspora Mathematician!”.

You added pragmatism to the Nigeria Diaspora Day.
You subtracted “talk crazy” from the democracy of advocacy.
You multiplied dynamism wilth the variables of the far-flung indices of the Nigerian Diaspora.
You divided nonchalance
You balanced the equation of agitation and action, resulting in the dogged legislative fight for, and eventual establishment of, the Nigeria Diaspora Commission.

Today is the celebration of one of the few times Nigeria has a round peg in a round hole in governance. It shows. It feels like five years of Ofrice, judging from concrete achievements and notable milestones.

He thereafter wished her greater success and sustained chain of achievements in office.
