45-Year-Old Ogun Assembly Complex Undergoes Renovation, Speaker Commends Governor

The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, has acknowledged that the extensive rehabilitation of the State House of Assembly Complex by the State Government is the result of a peaceful and productive collaboration between the legislative and executive branches, aimed at fostering sustained development within the State.

Rt. Hon. Elemide pointed out that the 45-year-old structure is currently undergoing a significant renovation and restructuring to bring it up to par with the standards seen in other Houses of Assembly across the country.

The Speaker expressed his appreciation to Governor Dapo Abiodun for making history by initiating the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Assembly Complex.

He further revealed that the ongoing work would lead to the commissioning of the Assembly’s clinic before the end of the year.

He emphasized that the renovation, which targets the transformation of the structure first built in 1979, aims to modernize the complex to enhance the efficiency and comfort of legislative activities.

Elemide also promised continued cooperation with the executive arm to drive further development across Ogun State.
