Three men were on Thursday docked in a Grade I Area Court in Kabusa, Abuja for beating up a man, Harry Mankur, who tried to stop a fight between two other men.

The police charged John Obeya, 31, Stephen Micah, 23 and Isaac Victor, 22, all of Angwan Saiyawa with criminal force, assault and causing grievous hurt.

They each, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The prosecutor, C.C. Okafor had earlier told the court that Mankur reported the matter at the Kabusa Police Station on Jan. 1.

She said the defendants inflicted injuries on Mankur, the normal complainant while he was trying to separate a fight between two other people.

The Judge, Malam Abubakar Sadiq, admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N50,000 each with one surety each in like sum.

Sadiq adjourned the case until Jan. 30 for hearing.
