Members of the Ogun State House of Assembly mark their 2nd year in office with a stock of their mid term activities with a unanimous call for the implementation of more infrastructural projects, especially road construction and rehabilitation in their respective constituencies.
The presentation began with lawmakers from Ogun West Senatorial District including the Majority Leader, Yusuf Sheriff, Adegoke Adeyanju, Bolanle Ajayi, Wahab Haruna, Musefiu Lamidi and Jemili Akingbade, who took turn to make their remarks at the plenary session presided by the Speaker, Olakunle Oluomo at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
The Assembly men, who lauded their constituents for the opportunity to serve as their representatives in the Ninth Legislature, sought for the release of constituency project allowance to enable them implement projects to complement the existing infrastructure put in place by the State Government in their constituencies.
Decrying the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the State’s economy and the farmer-herders class on the socio-economic status of the district, the lawmakers lauded Gov. Abiodun and Speaker Oluomo for their visionary and responsive leadership style at the helms of affairs in the executive and legislative arms respectively.
Acknowledging the roles of the management and members of Staff of the Assembly in the success recorded so far by the lawmakers, they reassured their constituents of more quality representations through people oriented bills and other infrastructural projects.
