25-year-old sentenced to life imprisonment for sodomizing boy in Jigawa

A 25-year-old man has been sentenced to life imprisonment for raping and sodomizing a 10-year-old boy. by a State High Court in Jigawa

The man simply identified as Aminu Ali was sentenced by Justice Musa Ubale.

Ali, a resident of Aukayawa Quarters in Gwaram Local Government Area of the state, was found guilty after the prosecution presented five witnesses and submitted four exhibits, including a medical report, establishing his guilt “beyond reasonable doubt.”

The prosecution successfully argued that Ali lured the victim and engaged in anal sex with him.

Justice Ubale, in his ruling, stated that the prosecution had indeed established its case beyond reasonable doubt.

As a result, the court sentenced Ali to life imprisonment under Section 3 (2&4) of the Violence Against Person Prohibition Law of Jigawa State (VAPP LAW).

The judge also informed the convict of his right to appeal the judgment within three months.
