2023: House of Rep approves N599bn budget for NCC

The House of Representatives on Tuesday approved N599. 080 billion as the budget of the Nigerian Communications Commission for 2023.

The approval came following the consideration of the report on the NCC budget by the Committee of Supply, presided over by the Deputy Speaker, Rep. Ahmed Idris Wase.

The key provisions were N86.7bn
for Recurrent Expenditure; N5.2bn for Capital Expenditure; and the sum of N35.089bn for Special Project.

The sum of N16bn was approved to be transferred to the Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF); another N416.013bn was for
transfer to the Federal Government of Nigeria; and the sum of N16bn for the Budget of the USPF).

The Third Reading of the money bill is for another legislative day.
