2020 BUDGET: OGUN HOLDS TOWNHALL MEETINGS ON THURSDAY

In furtherance of the avowed commitment of the Ogun State Government to inclusive governance,  stakeholders’ meetings will hold in preparation for the year 2020 budget across the three Senatorial Districts of the State starting from Thursday. 

A release signed  by Kunle Somorin, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Dapo Abiodun stated that the first in the series will start from Ogun East Senatorial District on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Bisrod Hall, Igbeba GRA, Ijebu-Ode by 1pm prompt.

Dates for other Senatorial Districts would be announced in due course.

The release added that the event, which would be presided by the State Governor’s, Prince Dapo Abiodun, is aimed at harnessing the contributions and inputs of citizens across all the critical sectors of the economy.

The 2020 budget is to prioritise projects required to fulfil “the Building our Future Together” Agenda of the Dapo Abiodun administration and to ensure strategic allocation of resources to projects and programmes that will make the most impact on the citizens. 

Somorin in the release further stated that, all officers from the post of Assistant Director and above, in the Public Service of Ogun State and representatives of different interest groups across the State, including Traditional, Religious and Political Leaders, Trade and Market Associations, Professional Bodies, Civil Society Groups, Student Unions among others are also invited to these meetings.

All participants are expected to be seated by 12noon.
